After a near decade on hiatus, a traditional Native American pow wow will be returning to the area this weekend. Hosted by the Port Huron Museum at their Carnegie Center, the event will feature dancers, drummers, and local food vendors. Andrew Kercher, community engagement manager for the museum tells WPHM the traditional pow wow is a great way to learn about the Native American Culture which runs strong in area. Because of donations from the public and support from the Community Foundation of St. Clair County, Kercher says the event is free to the public. The traditional Native American pow wow at the Port Huron Museum runs from 11am to 3pm Saturday at the Carnegie Center.
