Gas prices in Michigan are down from last week. Michigan drivers are now paying an average price of $2.81 per gallon for regular unleaded, 13 cents less than a week ago,
but 8 cents more than this time last month. Pump prices around the nation have seen modest increases this past week signaling that supply and demand are likely in sync and bringing stabilization to markets nationwide. Statewide, the most expensive fuel in the state can be found in Metro Detroit and the least expensive gas is in Traverse City. Locally, Port Huron area pumps are on average $2.82s per gallon.
