Fort Gratiot Township opens search for new supervisor

Wednesday is the deadline to apply for those who wish to be the next supervisor of Fort Gratiot Township. This comes after former township supervisor Jorja Baldwin was selected to fill a vacancy on the St. Clair County Board of commissioners. Those wishing to serve as Fort Gratiot Township supervisor must reside within the township and are asked to submit their letter of interest and resume to the township clerk’s office by 4:30pm Wednesday.  Applicants can deliver those documents in person to the township office at 3720 Keewahdin Road or by emailing rcrawford@fortgratiot.us. The township board of trustees is expected to review all applicants at a special session meeting on Friday at 6pm. A decision is expected to be made by August 18th of this year and the term will last through November of 2020.
