More information is being released about the suspect accused of several breaking and enterings in St. Clair and Sanilac Counties. The Sheriff’s department, in conjunction with the Yale Police Department, executed a search warrant for the suspect’s house on north main street in Yale where items linking him with the break-in’s were discovered. Authorities say the man is expected to face charges not only for the golf course incident but also for two break-ins in Brockway Township and multiple break-ins in the City of Yale that date back to February. He is currently housed in the St. Clair County Jail where he is expected to be formally charged later this week.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A Yale area man has been arrested in connection to a breaking and entering that occurred last month at a Sanilac County Golf Course. According to Sanilac County Sheriff’s Deputies, the suspect is believed to have broken into the Willow Tree Golf Course in Speaker Township on May 23rd. Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies obtained surveillance footage from the golf course and were able to produce a possible suspect with the help of an anonymous tip. This past Wednesday, the suspect was arrested by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department on unrelated charges, and is said to have confessed to multiple breaking and enterings in both counties including the golf course incident. He is lodged at the St. Clair County Jail and his name is currently being withheld at this time.
