As both sides of the aisle continue to debate the merits of pending legislation to overhaul Michigan’s no fault insurance law, Governor Gretchen Whitmer insists that insurance will still be available for everyone in the state. She says that’s regardless of whether or not residents forego the longtime personal injury protection benefit. Whitmer says that everyone buying car insurance will have coverage whether through their auto insurer, their health insurer or a government plan. The bill could be signed this week during the Mackinac Policy Conference.
