A suspect is in custody after a high speed chase through Macomb and St. Clair Counties Thursday afternoon. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Department says the chase began around 4pm after a vehicle was stolen from the Hall Road Walmart Parking lot and ended with a crash along I-94 in St. Clair Township. The suspect then fled the scene of the accident, prompting a several hour manhunt. He was discovered around 7pm in the back yard of a residence along Deer Lake Meadow Drive and was taken into custody. Macomb County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department and other local agencies.
