It’s your opportunity to help keep drugs, such as dangerous opioids, off our streets. This Saturday, the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department will be collecting unused and expired prescription medication as a part of national Drug Take Back Day. Pills can be brought to the lobby of the St. Clair Sheriff’s Department to be properly disposed of Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Residents who cannot make it to the Saturday event can take their unwanted pills to the Sheriff’s Office during normal business hours, Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Sheriff Tim Donnellon says proper disposal of medication helps prevent drugs from from falling into the wrong hands or ending up in our drinking water due to improper disposal.
