Across the river, Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley is making a victory lap after being re-elected to another four year term last month. Bradley, who was first elected mayor in 1988, has been serving the city of Sarnia for over 30 years now. Speaking to WPHM yesterday, the mayor says he’s ready to get to work after a contentious campaign. Among his goals include cutting the city’s debt while maintaining and improving the quality of city services. “We’ve reduced about $100 million in debt down to about $12 (million)… it sends a really clear message about fiscal fitness and fiscal restraint,” said Bradley. First elected in 1988, he is the longest serving mayor in Sarnia history and is one of the longest serving mayors in North America.
