A longtime September staple in the Blue Water Area that benefits the St. Clair County Child Abuse and Neglect Council will be moving to a new location. After 24 years of a Q-Country 107 D.J. perched on top of the Birchwood Mall in Fort Gratiot Township, the annual fundraiser will be moving to downtown Port Huron. The CAN Council’s Sherry Archibald says this year’s roof sit will take place at the Michigan Mutual Mortgage building on Military Street. Despite the change in venue, Archibald tells WPHM the CAN Council’s mission has not budged, as it “shouldn’t hurt to be a child.” Long-time roof sitter Chuck Santoni has also passed the proverbial baton to new Q-Country morning show co-host Matt Markham. Markham will be living on the roof of Michigan Mutual Mortgage for a week starting September 16th.
