This Friday, the annual State of St. Clair County Address will be taking place at Alexander’s Banquet Hall in Marysville. The Blue Water Chamber of Commerce has hosted the luncheon address for the past 10 years. St. Clair County Administrator Bill Kauffman says the county is in very good shape with many developments starting to begin within the county. County Board Chair Jeff Bohm says the great recession hit our county hard, but we’ve been able to weather the storm well. Last year over 300 community and business leaders attended the event. The luncheon is open to the public, however registration is required, the cost is $30 per person and includes a buffet lunch. This year, U.S. Senator Gary Peters will also address the crowd during the luncheon. The luncheon begins at 11am at and will run till 1:15pm. This will be Administrator Kauffman’s last address before he retires at the end of this year.
