Selfridge Air National Guard Base is getting a new $32.6 million jet fuel storage and delivery system. The National Guard’s 127th Wing announced the project Monday. Currently, refueling KC-135 Stratotankers involve trucking jet fuel from the base’s fuel storage area, but base officials say with the new system the jets will be able to pull up to the pump and gas up. It’s expected to take two years to construct the new system.
