The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments and the Metropolitan Affairs Coalition are seeking comments from the public to help develop an economic development strategy for Southeast Michigan. Partnering for Prosperity is the Economic Development Strategy for Southeast Michigan. It contains 11 broad-based strategies centered around three major elements — community assets, business climate, and talent and innovation. SEMCOG says it will take the efforts of many public, private, educational and nonprofit organizations to carry out the actions set forth in these strategies. Public comments concerning the councils strategies can be emailed to: infocenter@SEMCOG.org, or can be made in person at SEMCOG’s Executive Committee on Friday, February 26, at 1:00pm.
