City Council members will have the future of the McMorran Pavilion on their agenda again tonight. The 7 pm session sees a vote on the final contractual agreements that would convey the property to the Saint Clair County Community College. Some have argued the need to keep the pavilion for hockey use but officials have opted to make it available for college uses including a new gymnasium. Details of the purchase agreement were worked out over the last few weeks after council members, McMorran Authority members and college trustees approved the plan. Other items of interest to be decided on by city council tonight include a $300 thousand replacement of elevators in the Municipal Office Center and a public hearing concerning the use of federal Community Development Block Grant and HOME funds. Meanwhile Marysville City Council also has a regular meeting tonight. The 7:30 pm session includes a pair of appointments including selecting Mayor Dan Dammon as a representative to the South East Michigan Council of Governments. Discussions on the new DTE Smart meters program also expected at the Marysville City Council meeting.
