Fire kills Port Huron man

A Port Huron man was found deceased in Lapeer County, and his friend has been charged with murder. On Saturday afternoon, Lapeer County 911 received a report of a vehicle fire on Kings Mill Road in Arcadia Township, with Police and the Fire Department responding. After the fire was extinguished, a deceased individual, Miguel Harvey age 23 from Port Huron, was discovered within the vehicle. The death was quickly ruled a homicide. Harvey was employed in the second shift at a factory in Imlay City and friends with co-worker 21 year-old Andrew Hall of Deerfield Township. As the investigation progressed, Hall was taken into custody and lodged in the Lapeer County Jail. Andrew Hall is charged with first degree premeditated murder, tampering with evidence, and fourth degree arson. His bond has been set at one million dollars and he remains in custody at the Lapeer County Jail. This homicide remains under investigation by the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office.
