Many personal injury accidents in Sanilac County

The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office investigated several weekend single vehicle personal injury accidents that occurred Saturday. One happened late in the afternoon on Peck Road West of Cribbins Road in Buel Township. According to Deputies, a 2001 Oldsmobile driven by a 16 year old from West Branch was driving West on Peck Road. when the driver lost control because of the road conditions. The vehicle then went into the ditch on the south side of the road and overturned, coming to rest on the roof. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Meanwhile an accident at Applegate Road west of Ridge Road was also reported when the driver lost control because of the road conditions. The vehicle then went into the ditch on the south side and struck a tree. The driver was transported to McKenzie Hospital by Sanilac EMS for treatment of his injuries and another one vehicle personal injury accident that occurred at bout 2 pm. on M-46 west of Stringer Road. According to Deputies, a 2008 Pontiac driven by a Carsonville 31-year-old was driving east on M-46 when the driver lost control because of the road conditions and went into the ditch on the south side. Officials say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in any of the mishaps.
