For the second year in a row Port Huron was been selected to host a 2nd GreenLight competition. Earlier this week several finalist were selected to compete at the GreenLight Port Huron on Monday, December 7th starting at 5:30pm, at the St. Clair County Community College's Fine Arts Building. The first-place winner of the GreenLight Port Huron competition will receive $5,000, free start-up support resources, and a guaranteed seat to pitch at the GreenLight finals in East Lansing in March, 2016. Residents are welcome to attend the finals at Sc4 and partake in a crowd choice vote to decide the winner. GreenLight started in 2013 in East Lansing to help spur new business and start-up growth. GreenLight hub locations have been developed in Port Huron, Flint, East Jordan, and the Student Competition at Accelerate Michigan in Detroit.
