Around 9:30 am Wednesday Sanilac Central Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a two vehicle accident on North Lakeshore Road and Downington Road in Forester Township. Investigations revealed that a 2005 Dodge Caravan driven by Brian Fahs, 54 of Deckerville was driving southbound on Lakeshore Road and attempted to pass another vehicle, a 2007 Ford pick-up driven by 27 year-old Paul Levert of Plams. Fahs stated that he believed the vehicle was turning right but turned left as he attempted to pass. A collision occurred causing the Caravan to overturn. Betty Fahs, 81, a passenger in the Caravan, was transported to Deckerville Hospital for treatment. 26 year-old Michelle Levert a passenger in the Ford pick-up was transported by personal vehicle for treatment. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Deeckerville Police and Port Sanilac Fire and Rescue.
