Over the weekend a body was discovered on a beach in Worth Twp. On Sunday morning a man walking along the beach discovered a body floating in the water. The Sanliac County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the scene. Investigators believe the body is that of a 57 year old man from Macomb who went missing from his vessel around August 30th. That vessel was discovered by a passing frieghter, near Forestville on September 7th. The sheriff's office was assisted at the scene by the Lexington Police department and fire department. An autopsy is schedule for tomorrow. This case remains under investigation by the Sanilac County Sheriff's Office and the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. Sanilac County Sheriff Biniecki stated, He is hopeful that after the official indentification and over a month of waiting, it will finally bring closure to the family.
