Updates the order of the day Tuesday at the Port Huron Downtown Development Authority where City Manager James Freed gave reports on a number of projects. Topping the list is a project announced earlier as planned for the former YMCA property near the Municipal Office Center and the St. Clair River which is set for condominiums. Other projects of interest that he gave to the D.D.A. included the nearly done Holiday Inn Express near Water Street at the old city marina, and continued updates to the streetscape improvements like street brick re-laying and the lessening of trip hazards. Freed indicated there is more work to go on a general streetscape improvements which started earlier this year with street-brick replacements. The Grand River intersection among the areas has yet to be completed. Work on the new bus terminal is continuing also according to Freed, though the schedule might be pushed back a bit due to continued work on a DTE sub-station. He says a reverse flow of one-way traffic along McMorran Blvd and completion of the other side of that roadway can be expected soon.
