"Making a difference every day" is the theme for this year's Saint Clair County United Way campaign.  The annual fundraiser was formally started this week with a breakfast at the Port Huron Fraternal Order of Eagles.  Campaign Chair Leann Warner of DTE Energy tells us the group will attempt to get more pledges this than last year.  The goal: $1,400,000 represents an about 4% increase over the funding pledged in last year's campaign. Executive Director Doug Dolph says he believes some of the additional funding could come from a group of volunteers who will be seeking pleges from the over 200-businesses identified that have not seen local activities with the United Way. The organization helps fund 40 different programs furnished by over 20 organizations. The campaign usually wraps up by the end of the year.
