Connor Cook passed for 256 yards and two touchdowns as No. 5 Michigan State opened the season witha 37-24 win at Western Michigan on Friday night. Aaron Burbridge had 117 yards on four catches, whole Madre London rushed for two scores. The Spartans host Oregon on September 12 in East Lansing.
