The Detroit Tigers needed 11 innings to beat the Houston Astros 4-2 on Saturday night. Bruce Rondon blew a save in the ninth trying to protect a 1-0 lead for Justin Verlander. Verlander went seven and allowed just three hits while striking out seven. Ian Kinsler, Victor Martinez, JD Martinez, and Tyler Collins drove in runs for the Tigers. The final game of a three game series is Sunday in Houston.
