Students who graduate from a Sanilac County high school will now have a leg up on attending St. Clair County Community College with the announcement of a brand new scholarship from the Sanilac County Community Foundation. The foundation's Joan Nagelkirk says the St. Clair County Community College Foundation has established the new scholarship. Nagelkirk says to be eligible for the scholarship, entering freshmen and sophomores must have graduated from a high school in Sanilac County with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better and submit an essay. The scholarship award will be based on both merit and need and it may vary up to a maximum of full tuition and fees. To see a list of SC4 scholarships go online to sc4.edu/money.
