ANOTHER SUCCESS FOR NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

From north to south the city of Port Huron saw many block parties and gatherings as part of the National Night Out events.  One location was the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Port Huron at 7th and Chestnut, with the city's Fire Operations Chief Dan Mainguy saying the events are a great way to connect with the people in your neighborhoods. Safety advice and information on Neighborhood Watch Programs are some of the basics for the program which began nationally 30-years ago. St. Joseph's saw many in attendance Tuesday, with a mini-petting zoo, a bouncy house and slide for the kids, as well as free hot dogs and ice cream and games.
