PUBLIC CAN HELP DEVELOP GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE
Get your green on! The public is invited to take part this evening in a Green Infrastructure Visioning Session. Developing a regional green infrastructure vision for Southeast Michigan...that's the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments along with their county and local government partners as they go around visiting the seven SEMCOG counties this summer, for input on important natural areas, and talk about what and where additional green infrastructure could be located. SEMCOG officials say, green places are not only important for the environment, but they're also a priority for residents looking for nicer places to live and work. If you go you'll take part in an interactive group exercise on current and future green infrastructure in the county. Keypads will be used to identify important policies that will assist communities implementing the green infrastructure recommendations. The session starts at 6:00 p.m., this evening at the Acheson Ventures Seaway Terminal, along Military.
