A Lexington woman was arraigned Wednesday, in St. Clair County District Court, on charges of filing a false felony report and tampering with evidence. Sara Ylen's preliminary examination has been set for June 4th. Court officials say, Ylen made a report last year that she had been raped at her home. She's also facing charges in Sanilac County for fraud, using a computer to commit a crime, and health care fraud. Michigan State Police began investigating the 38-year old a year ago, with detectives saying Ylen allegedly was diagnosed with cancer eight years ago, but authorities say none of the physicians identified, by her, actually made the diagnosis. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan also began investigations...they allegedly paid out nearly $100-thousand dollars in hospice care In 2001, Ylen claimed that a man had sexually assaulted her in St. Clair County. The man was convicted and sent to prison, with further investigations showing that the charges were false and they were dropped, but not until after the man had spent ten years behind bars.
