This unit similar to those being stolen.

At least one company is taking up the case of reecent larcenies with a reward for information that leads to the arrest and incarceration of the person or persons responsible for a recent rash of larcenies.  Rich Ainsworth of Ainsworth Electric in Port Huron Township says his outside air conditioner unit was stolen over the weekend.  A thousand dollars being offered for information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. The case is similar to those reported on last week by the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department.  Sheriff Tim Donndellon is asking residents to take a look at any suspicious activity, jot down license plate numbers, descriptions and the like but do not try and apprehned the suspect.  Ainsworth says a neighbor to his Lapeer Road business also lost an air conditioning unit.  He believes the thief or thieves are selling the copper out the units which would be worth only the fraction of the cost of a new unit.
