The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department had their hands full with a number of important calls to 911 New Year’s Eve and Day. Fortunately no serious injuries were reported in the various incidents. Included was a hit and run near I-94 and Lapeer Road where a 48-year-old from Clinton Township was arrested. Also New Year’s Eve an assault and battery in Cottreville Township led to two arrests including a woman who interfered with deputies. Early Tuesday morning a large fight reported along the 1200 block of Minnesota. Minors in possession of alcohol part of the problem where three saw separate citations. And there was a depressed man with a gun report in Mussey Township. After three hours of talking the man came out of the house and was sent to a local hospital for psychological evaluation.
