Challenging other donors to support advanced medical technology at Port Huron Hospital... that's the James Acheson Foundation as they issue the challenge in time for the end of year, when many are looking to make contributions.  Nancy Klemmer at the Port Huron Hospital Foundation tells us the advanced technology includes items such as the da Vinci Surgical System, which is already in use, and a 160-slice CT imaging unit which would be installed next spring. Klemmer says funding for local medical technology helps to ensure that residents don't have to leave the community for world class technology and advanced healthcare.  The challenge involves a matching grant of $150-thousand dollars.
