The Marysville Viking Regiment marching band took part in the Thanksgiving parade in Detroit last week and came out on top in the Battle of the Bands contest as sponsored by a Detroit TV station and the producers of the event, the Parade Company.  Director Dennis Duso says it's not the first time the Marysville marching band took the top prize, with the band also winning back in 2005.  He says up next for the band members is taking part in the annual Marysville Santa Parade on Saturday.
