Memorial Stadium Groundbreaking Ceremony PHHS 11 11 12
The groundbreaking ceremony for Memorial Stadium was held Sunday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day. All community members were welcomed to join and pay tribute to the sacrifices of our veterans and embrace the future of Memorial Stadium. Highlights:
  • A combined performance by PHHS and PHN bands.
  • Local radio personality Paul Miller (AM 1380 WPHM) as master of ceremonies; the Rev. Tom Seppo of Operation Transformation offered the invocation and benediction. 
  • PHHS choir and Garfield students from Mary Lund’s class performed.
  • Featured speakers included Assistant Superintendent Eddie Kindle, Athletic Director Ken Semelsberger and Mayor Pauline Repp, as well as, Bob Moak, whose father, industrialist Eugene Moak, spoke at the stadium’s dedication on June 5, 1949.
