Detroit hit three home runs in the first inning of the game, scoring five runs in the frame. Ian Kinsler, Victor Martinez, and Torii Hunter all went deep. Miguel Cabrera had three hits and scored four runs for the Tigers, who have won four in a row. Game two of a four game series is set for Friday night.
