The Detroit Tigers scored three times in the bottom of the eight to edge the Boston Red Sox 4-3 on Thursday afternoon. Miguel Cabrera picked up the 1,000th RBI of his Tigers career with a single. Cabrera is just the eleventh player in Detroit history to reach that mile stone with the team. Game two of a four game series with Boston is set for Friday night at Comerica Park.
