One thing that's sure to make you laugh? When I hear kids laughing, I can't help but laugh along with them. It's so contagious!! When my nephew Isaac was born I quickly realized how a child can bring so much life into a home!

Your typical breakfast? 3-4 cups of hot tea

Pet Peeves: When you're having a conversation with someone and they're texting while talking to you at the same time. Very rude!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? I'm a family person. I can be with my family all day, everyday, and I would be very happy!

What music do you enjoy? I have an appetite for all types of music. ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Well, that's not entirely true. I don't listen to rap or jazz, but pretty much everything else. Some of my favorites: Sarah McLachlan, Adele, Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, U2, Garth Brooks, Elton John, Coldplay, Frank Sinatra, Lady Gaga and Matt & Kim just to name a few.

What are some of your favorite shows? Dexter, Homeland, Deadliest Catch, Say Yes to the Dress and I hate to admit it but I love reality shows. Even the really bad ones!

Favorite Movies? Pretty Woman, The Notebook, Bridesmaids, My Big Fat Greek Wedding and You Got Mail.

Favorite foods? Mac and cheese, salads, anything chicken related and all of my moms middle eastern cooking.

One thing about you that someone may not know? I grew up in a very strict home. My parents were born and raised in Iraq, so being first generation American was tough as a kid. I wasn't allowed to date in high school or talk on the phone for longer than two minutes (my mom would time us, lol.) Never thought I'd say this, but I'm thankful for the way I was raised. I never got into the pressures that some kids have to deal with when it comes to alcohol, drugs, sex, etc.

Best advice for someone who wants to get into radio: Never think you're too big a star or too proud to do what you may consider a "small" job. It doesn't matter if everyone knows your name... if you have to drive the station van to an event and tape up banners, you should do it.
