BUS TRANSFER PLANS PASS PLANNING COMMISSION

They're getting there... that's Blue Water Area Transit and their bus transfer center, to be built in an existing parking lot along the 700-block of McMorran Boulevard.  A site plan for the development saw approval, last night, by the Port Huron Planning Commission, with architect LeRoy Stevens telling us the project still has a ways to go before construction can start as they wait on the Federal Transit Authority to give the green light.  The approval is expected in the next few months. Stevens also says, conceptual designs for the center have been drawn up, and there'll eventually be some minor changes to the designs once the item gets final federal grant approval.  The commission last night also elected their officers, with current chair, David Schwartz, staying on as chairman, and with Michael Rossow again getting the nod as vice-chair.
