BLUE WATER FEST KICKS OFF IN LESS THAN A MONTH
Less than one month away... that's for all the fun, festivities and events connected with the Blue Water Fest. The event begins on Wednesday, July 17th, with the annual Rotary Club International Day Parade and continues through that weekend as the boats take off for Mackinac Island. Tim Block is organizing the fest, with a big emphasis on making it feel homegrown and local. Admission for the fest is free. Nationally known band Hinder takes the main stage Saturday, with lots of other live music going on throughout the event. The night after the parade, Thursday night, will see the traditional Family Night activities, with Friday Night as Boat Night. The carnival starts after the Wednesday parade and runs through Sunday. It will be a bit further south at 3rd and Court Street this year.
