A snowmobile has been pulled from the Black River after falling through the ice yesterday afternoon. According to the Port Huron Fire Department, a man operating a snowmobile on the Black River broke through the ice Sunday shortly after 4pm near the Riverside Boat Launch. Battalion Chief Dale Minard says the man was able to climb out of the icy water and was not injured. The snowmobile was recovered by crews from a local towing company and the St. Clair County Dive Team.
