First Woodward Avenue, then Huron Avenue…. that’s what’s on the docket for the Port Huron Northern High School Marching Band. The huskies are one of two area bands that will be marching in downtown Detroit tomorrow morning for the annual America’s Thanksgiving Day parade. That appearance will be followed by a local performance Friday during Port Huron’s Santa Claus parade. Port Huron Northern Band Director Erick Senkmajer adds that appearing in the Detroit parade allows family members from across the country to watch the band, as it is televised nationwide to nearly 200 television stations. Also making the trek to Detroit tomorrow morning is the Marysville Viking Regiment, who will also be marching in the thanksgiving day parade. You can watch America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade beginning at 10am tomorrow on WDIV-TV.
