Thousands of dollars of drugs seized in area busts

Five are in jail after a series of drug busts by the St. Clair County Drug Task Force this past week. An investigation into the sale of cocaine in the area resulted in a traffic stop at the intersection of Busha Highway and Gratiot in Marysville Tuesday evening. A 36 and 37 year old Port Huron man were arrested and their homes were searched. $12,500 worth of cocaine was located and seized at two Port Huron homes, one in the 700 block of Chestnut and another in the 900 block of Union. The two men along with a 31 year old Port Huron woman were arrested. They face a multitude of drug charges and are being lodged in the St. Clair County Jail. Then on Wednesday evening, D.T.F. agents searched a motel in the 5900 block of Lakeshore Road in Fort Gratiot Township where methamphetamine was seized. $400 worth of crystal meth were found and a 38 year old man and 38 year old woman from Clyde Township were arrested. They face charges including possession with intent to distribute crystal methamphetamine, and being 2 time habitual offenders.
