The Sanilac County Sheriff’s office is investigating a motorcycle accident involving two bikes that occurred this past weekend in Speaker Township. A motorcycle driven by a Jeddo man was stopped near the intersection of Melvin and Burnside Saturday afternoon around 12:06pm. It was struck by another motorcycle operated by a Fort Gratiot Township man with a female passenger. Deputies say the breaks on the second bike locked up causing the driver to loose control, striking the stopped motorcycle. The Fort Gratiot Couple was taken to McLaren Port Huron Hospital for treatment. The driver of the other motorcycle did not require medical attention. All occupants were wearing helmets at the time of the accident and it remains under investigation by the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office.
