Andreas Athanasiou scored 1:52 into overtime, to lift the Detroit Red Wings to a 3-2 win over the visiting Minnesota Wild on Sunday at Joe Louis Arena.  Mike Green and Tomas Tatar also had goals for Detroit, who head to Carolina to play on both Monday and Tuesday in a rare three game in three day stretch for an NHL team.  The second game against the Hurricanes is a rescheduled contest from earlier in the season, when ice conditions in Carolina where not suitable to play.
