The Detroit Tigers acquired center fielder Mikie Mahtook from the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday for a player to be named later, or cash. In parts of two seasons, Mahtook, hit .231 with 12 home runs, and 30 RBI, playing in 106 Big League games. To make room the Tigers have designated Anthony Gose for assignment.
