While the Presidential race was a close one voters in the Blue Water Area saw most of the decisions tallied up before midnight. Port Huron was an early finisher with the city’s ten precincts reported out shortly after 9 PM.  Mayor Pauline Repp was re-elected to the post while Sherry Archibald and Ken Harris were re-elected to the council.  Scott Worden is the new member elected yesterday. Elsewhere Marine City will be looking at installing a new mayor as Dave Vandenbossche took top honors. Legislative seats went the way of the Republican Party including Paul Mitchell in the Congressional 10th, Dan Lauwers, Shane Hernandez, and Pamela Hornberger picked up wins in the trio of state house districts in the local area. No change on the bench as Judge Cynthia Lane was re-elected and the County Commission also remains the same as Harry Dunn took top honors in the only contested district. Proposals included a sinking fund asking in the Marysville School District which won in a close vote. Meanwhile some education seats decided on too Tuesday as Denise Brooks and Timothy McCulloch were voted on to the Port Huron Area School District Board of Education…and at the St. Clair County Community College separate races saw Deborah Bourgois, Karen Niver, Robert Tansky, and Fred Roberts win. Townships had various elections too including a Supervisor race in Kimball Township that saw Robert Usakowski winning re-election.
