A public hearing will likely be set tonight to help determine the fate of the McMorran Pavilion. Port Huron City Council has the item on their agenda and as has been promised the public hearing would be held later this month during the meeting of October 26th. At issue is whether or not to sell the pavilion to the Saint Clair County Community College as has been recommended by the McMorran Authority. sc4 has proposed 3 million in improvements for the site that they believe could be used for gymnasium space. A minor hockey association has also sought to keep the building in local hands but its use would be for an ice rink and primarily used for hockey . Tonight's meeting features a presentation from consultants comparing the two recommendations. The meeting begins at 7pm.
