The council on aging appointed a new Director earlier this summer, he's Scott Crawford and he took over for Laura Newsome who retired after serving the council for many years. He noted she has left the agency in amazing shape. Crawford tells us he thinks the goal of the council is to help seniors stay in their home for as long as they wish. The council also offers in-home services such as personal care, house keeping, chores and home repairs.
